Followed the formal SDLC methodologies — Waterfall and Agile — and drove over 35 projects from conceptual design and requirements gathering through implementation, documentation, and roll-out.

Designed metadata-driven data/integration architecture for clinical and health plan data warehouses with data quality scorecards, leading/mentoring developers. Designed and implemented data quality/data governance strategies.

Installed, configured, and administered Informatica PowerCenter and Erwin Workgroup Edition in an Agile Oracle and MySQL environment. Designed and modeled data vault architecture for incremental load of data with transaction history.

Architect for process improvements to mature the Enterprise Data Services practice to integrate data from multiple sources with supporting processes to include data quality profiles/reports, physical data models, and storage of metadata/data lineage into the Informatica Metadata Manager and Business Glossary. Designed automation and reporting solutions to accompany Informatica Metadata Manager roll-out.

Designed metadata-driven data/integration architecture for 4 clinical and health plan data warehouses with data quality scorecards, leading/mentoring data modelers and developers. Designed and implemented data quality/data governance strategies.

Received a promotion to project lead for the implementation of a data tables generation application. This application automated the analysis of data (translating UNIX-based SAS reports on ORACLE data to PC-based MS Word documents in an acceptable FDA required format) and provided an 80% reduction in time spent by analysts.

Successfully implemented 2 concurrent full-time 4-month assignments as an SAS programmer/contractor during a short supply of resources with this expertise.  Both were completed on-time and on-budget.

Maintained and enhanced the in-house testing tool used to plan and record formal product and integration testing.  In addition to improving user acceptance, downtime was reduced from 1-2 times per week to once in a 1-year period.

Designed a program documentation library and documented training manuals for users on several internal projects for employers.  This eliminated multiple copies and streamlined accessibility and disk usage.

Nominated to represent Clinical Data Management/OTC on the Data Standards Review Board, as well as to represent the Development Team on the Development Life Cycle Standards Committee.

Organized and communicated with remote cross-functional teams (with members in 4 states and off-shore) to deliver successful results within timeline and budget constraints.

Successfully managed clinical data acquisition and validation for 7 OTC studies in a 1-year period, exceeding the anticipated assignment load.

Designed/implemented a relational database application for a 30-station clinical research lab, improving accuracy by eliminating 99% of the possibility of human error with immediate response SAS analysis and error checking.

Designed/implemented a relational database application for a Fortune 125 chemical company to select and promote candidates for open union-regulated positions.  This automation provided a 70% reduction in decision and down-time.
